With the philosophy of handcraft and quality, and the motto ‘the hand follows the heart’ Kaethe Kruse created her first doll in 1905. The Kaethe Kruse brand today represents innovative toys and traditional handcraft. All products are manufactured in Europe, under stringent quality and safety standards.
Most of Kaethe Kruse’s suppliers are located in Europe, as well as their paper and packaging suppliers. Any products from overseas suppliers to KK are independently tested according to EN71, ASTM or Ökotex standards. All KK products are distributed from Germany.
Kaethe Kruse require their business partners to conform to their own ethical standards. They ensure their partners follow product and health and safety guidelines, follow the legal requirements of countries they operate in, and promote good environmental awareness. Their partners must follow the legal guidelines with regard to wages for their staff and do not permit the use of child or forced labour. Partners must follow a non-discrimination policy.
