Haba, established in 1938, are renowned for high-quality baby and children's toys, games and furniture. They view themselves as a "single source supplier" for children and have expanded their product portfolio beyond wood products using the same high quality standards for which they are known. Many of their toys have won awards.
Children are at the core of Haba’s corporate philosophy. They value quality of both products and services, and are a socially responsible manufacturer in terms of their own employees and in their relationship with their partners. Haba believe in fair play – fair with their partners, suppliers and competitors.
Haba’s production centre is in Bad Rodach, Germany. Some process-intensive products and textile products are manufactured in China by qualified suppliers. These suppliers must be certified in accordance with the ICTI Code of Business Practices and are monitored by Haba and work to the same quality standards as HABA in Bad Rodach, Germany.
Haba accept their responsibility for the environment. This applies to the use of materials, the use of energy and to the upkeep of our natural surroundings. Haba were the first toy maker in Germany to pass the ecological audit, and were granted DIN ISO 14001 certification for environmental management.
The Haba factory and warehouses use renewable energy and when we visited their factory in Germany we saw their very impressive heating system using wood chippings left over from the manufacturing process.
